Here's how to make five easy, festive beverages to keep you warm!

Hibiscus Boba Milk Tea

When I got here to KU, I found it difficult to make the cozy drinks I had grown so accustomed to back home. I modified the recipes to make the more simple and achievable, and here they are!

Green Tea Latte (with Boba!)

1. Brew green tea, strong (I use two bags for one serving) and chill in fridge, or freezer if you're short on time

2. Cook boba according to package directions. I use instant boba; it cooks in five minutes and tastes just as good, in my opinion!

* I like to roll my boba around in some sugar after chilling it in cold water; just adds a touch of sweetness that I feel green tea lattes need sometimes!

3. Add a splash of milk or half-and-half to chilled tea

4. Spoon in boba and enjoy!

** Editor's note: For a more fruity flavor, use hibiscus tea instead of green tea (see image)

Dorm-met Hot Chocolate

1. Mix about 1- 1 1/2 T Nutella and peanut butter in a mug and microwave for 30 seconds to soften up.

2. Stir in a combination of milk and half-and-half (milk is for normal people. I use half-and-half to make it super creamy) until you fill the mug.

3. Microwave again for about 60-90 sec or until your hot chocolate is warm enough to your liking! For extra fun, top with cinnamon and use a cookie straw!

Cinnamon Roll Latte

1. Brew one serving of French vanilla or hazelnut coffee- I use my Keurig!

2. Add a splash of milk, two sugar cubes, and a dash of cinnamon

3. In a separate dish, use a milk frother to foam up some milk or half-and-half

4. Pour milk foam over brewed coffee, top with more cinnamon, and enjoy!

Chai Latte

1. Follow the same directions as previous recipe! Just brew chai tea strong and use a blend of spices, including cloves, cinnamon, allspice, and vanilla extract!

At-home Apple Cider

1. Heat up apple juice in a microwave-safe mug for about 90-120 seconds

2. Stir in spice mix from previous recipe

3. Top with cinnamon stick and enjoy!
